People have diverse tastes and preferences when it comes to culture. Searching for entertainment or the next source of inspiration can be a not so easy task, especially in a culturally vibrant city like Paris. Every week, the city hosts hundreds of cultural events, exhibitions, and performances. – yes, that's per week!
Exploore analyzes the user's preferences, location, and the available cultural events. By doing so, it accurately predicts and tailors its recommendations to meet the specific user needs. Additionally, Exploore serves a social purpose where you can share and invite other users to join events through the app. Let’s dive in..
User experience
In the realm of UX, the journey began with defining user pathways and flows. Subsequently, we embarked on the meticulous planning of features and functionalities. This was followed by the creation of various interfaces, including wireframing, extensive iconographic research, and benchmarking. Ultimately, in this phase, we developed a design system based on atomic principles, prototyping every component and screen using Figma, which involved rigorous component testing and animation refinement.
Features
In the realm of both Front-End and Back-End development, our team employed a pattern-based approach, adhering to the MVC (Model-View-Controller) paradigm. This involved the robust development of Back-End features in Ruby using the Ruby On Rails framework, encompassing functionalities such as search, advanced search filters, geolocation services, and an interactive chatbox. Collaboration and version control were seamlessly managed through Git and Github.
The dynamic synergy of our team was instrumental in bringing Exploore to life. Comprising a harmonious blend of design and development expertise. The Exploore project exemplifies the intersection of innovation and user-centric design, ultimately redefining the cultural event discovery experience in the vibrant heart of Paris and the Île-de-France region.
